Beware, very disappointed in how we were charged for a very major repair on our diesel pickup. We are retired snowbirds spending our winters in Surprise. Because we were stranded in Arizona I feel the dealer took advantage of the fact.In was a major catastrophic engine failure and we had a extended warranty to pay for the repair. When we took delivery of the truck were told we must pay an additional $1200 to get pickup back. Said that warranty company wont pay what needed for the repair. Insurance company told us that they didn’t pay more (already paid $10,400) because Sands labor was “unfair and unreasonable”. We also had bill reviewed by another Chevrolet dealer that have a lot of experience with similar repairs. They agreed charges were unjust, Sands was “overlapping”. On labor charges.If you are stranded in Arizona “beware”.Update! I was contacted by Derek Hadadd (service supervisor) about my problems on my previous review! I have to say I was helped and treated very well. Derek even helped us with our Extended warranty company by writing letters and providing technical assistance. I definitely feel much differently about the service department at Sands Chevrolet!
